I may have tried a lot of el cheapo “good-as-MAC” dupes but they’re just not the same. Nyx is a great alternative but it’s always a hit or miss thing for me (except for their beautiful line of matte lip creams, because that is another story). Their round lipsticks are just.. meh. I’m also partial to lipstick smell and I find Nyx’s too strong, nothing like MAC’s vanilla and play-dough-ish mildly sweet scent hehehe <3

My new babies! Carefully-thought about and awesome. I already put Girl About Town on my staples list because it’s my version of the classic red lipstick that a dark-skinned me will never get to pull off. The rest are new additions I’ve been wanting to get all year. So far, I have only tried Rebel, a shade which I was so hesitant to try a year ago since it was a bit dark for my taste and my color preference was always on the safe side. Until I realized that it was a great cross between my “developing” love for the wine-ish kind (think witch-y lips) and fuchsia.  Color payoff is amazing and stays really, really long. It was love at first glide.

I’m planning to get Vegas Volt next month, which is a really nice coral. It’s so pretty, even my dreams tell me I need to have it.
